Swap/Show
The A-1 Swap Meet
and Show takes place every November on approximately 20
acres
of land in
the Lower Peninsula of Michigan, USA. EVENT SCHEDULE
Admission / Swap / Vendor Fees
General
admission for spectators is $5.00 per adult.
Anything in length
beyond 45 feet will double the fee.
Dealer/Vendor fee to display and/or swap is
$100.00.

DETAILS
In 2006 we had approximately
300 swappers and vendors from all over the
USA and
Canada.
We don’t always know the exact number of show sleds
as the swappers also show their machines and don't always register them.
In 2006 we believe there was around 100 Show Sleds, even though in past
years it has been higher.
The most misunderstood part of the A-1 event is that most people
think it is for snowmobiles and nothing else. That is not the case as the
A-1 Swap Meet includes motorcycles, mini-bikes, ATV's, PWC’s,
paraphenalia and a whole lot more!
And no, there is not only vintage stuff, but the Swap Meet also covers Antique Machines to Modern, New Machines and Parts for all sorts of Power Sports items .
Please note that A-1 Upholstery & Repair will be open, on-site, the day of the event .
There is also LOTS of door prizes - last year we gave out approxiamately 54! Thanks to our Generous Sponsors!
In 2006 we brought in the Indy Car (restored Eagle) driven by Mears and Donague, and a lot of people asked how that fits into a snowmobile event The answer is that at A-1, we love motor sports and people need a change at an event. If you keep bringing out the same stuff year to year, people may get bored with the event. By adding in different and interesting items, we believe that our visitors will look forward to a different surprise every year. We have had everything from funny cars to souped-up garden tractors at past events. Come on out this year to see what we come out with.
With the loss of our grandson Eddie Barlow and the loss of Dana Wiltse's son Jason Wiltse. It was mentioned that we would give out a trophy and money for future schooling and/or college in memory of Eddie and Jason. Dana and I decided we would like to work helping youngsters in a way that all of us can take part in.
At the A-1 2006 event we announced that starting in 2007 we would be accepting information to qualify for the Youth Achievement Award from young men and women that are the ages of 13 through 19, and from the U.S.A. or Canada.

We are also adding a consignment lot auction for the first time this year. We have been telling people to bring an item they want to donate (for the Youth Achievement Award fund for 2008).
If they just want to sell an item without giving to the Youth fund, they can do that also for a percentage (commission charge). That information will be posted at the Consignment Lot when it is on display at the event.
The Awards (trophies) presentations take place on Saturday afternoon for Show Sleds and for the special awards.
Primitive camping available on-site. Other lodging available only minutes from the event.
Just a friendly reminder that we always need more volunteers to help with the event. Please note that volunteers get to park by the barn!!!!
