With the loss of our grandson Eddie Barlow and the loss of Dana Wiltse's son Jason Wiltse. It was mentioned that we would give out an award in memory of Eddie and Jason. Dana and I decided we would like to work helping youngsters in a way that all of us can take part in. We accept qualifying entries for the Youth Achievement Award from young men and women that are the ages of 13 through 19, also starting 2010 we will be accepting application from youngsters ages 8 through 12 (Junior Yap) Junior YAP applications must have assistance from their guardians. All age group applications can live in the U.S.A. or Canada.

1. Have raced in 2011 - Antique, Vintage, or New Snowmobile, Motor Bike, Mini Bike, ATV or PWC.

Please send submissions to Bill and Dianna Miller
The Youth Achievement Committee will decide on the winner of the award and will be announced at the program on Friday evening, November 5, 2010. At that time they shall receive their trophy in memory of Eddie and Jason, and money. Due to the ages of some of our winners of the A-1 Youth Achievement Awards, the scholarship award they are given doesn't help much at the current time due to having to wait for the savings bond to mature, and the request was made that they be given the money instead of a savings bond. Therefore, we have gone to great length to accomodate and we began this late 2008 and will continue in the future. They will no longer receive a savings bond and will receive a check in its place for the (8 through 12 - $50.00; 13 through 19 - $500.00). We stress that this still be used for extended specialized schooling and/or college. Also, we again want to encourage people to contribute to the Youth Achievement Program for 2010. The impact upon these kids could be life changing. Please aid in supporting our valuable cause as they may be the next generation to take over where A-1 leaves off. Remember, our kids are our future and we need to help them as much as we can to accomplish their goals. Feel free to contact us with any questions. At A-1 we feel that by working with the youth, perhaps this will keep them busy with a project and off the streets, give them a sense of worthiness and pride that goes along with their accomplishment, help maintain the family structure that we have so strived to keep, and lastly, help to keep the youth interested in our sport and hobby enough to continue where we leave off for generations to come. We would like to encourage people to contribute to the Youth Achievement Program for 2010. The impact upon these kids could be life changing. Please aid in supporting our valuable cause, and feel free to contact us with any questions.
